Our theme members are involved in a wide range of research projects, often in collaboration with the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA).

Propensity to Cycle Tool (PCT)

The PCT is a strategic planning tool for cycling infrastructure. It was designed to assist transport planners and policy makers to prioritise investments and interventions to promote cycling. The project involves open access models and has revolutionised strategic cycle planning in England and Wales.

Network Planning Tools for Scotland (NPT.scot)

The NPT.scot project develops open network planning tools to support better transport planning across Scotland, with a focus on accessibility, active travel, and low-carbon mobility options. The code is open source and available on GitHub. See more on the University of Leeds website.
